Latest News

Finally, after technical difficulties (beyond me!), we are able to update our news page.

After a very wet Spring, we really welcomed the sunshine in May and June.

We were delighted last year to have Dippers nesting in the River Asker at the bottom of the garden, but sadly, this year they have not revisited us, however, the garden is blooming and the bees are doing well - so much so that we have been able to take an early crop of honey.

We came second again in the village scarecrow competition with our Wicker Man (the theme was 'the movies') and are now looking forward to the village fete on August 4th where we are planning to run a human fruit machine and also to the Bridport Hat Festival which is on September 1st.

Spring 2018

We have had difficulty with our news page for some time, but hopefully now operational again. Last year we were delighted to have a pair of Dippers in the river at the bottom of the garden, but despite best efforts, they have not revisited us this year.

Welcome to our home in the beautiful West Dorset village of Uploders in the Dorset ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’.

Dippers sits on the banks of the River Asker and we will offer you a warm welcome there together with comfort, care and a service tailored to your needs. This is a wonderful location from which to enjoy the dramatic Jurassic Coast, one of the geological wonders of the world, and to tour and explore 'Hardy Country'.

Apart from the natural scenery, there is always plenty to see and do in the picturesque towns of Lyme Regis, Bridport, Dorchester and Weymouth, host for the 2012 Olympic sailing events. Please take a look at the 'Places to Visit' page and the 'Calendar' page for more information on things to do during a stay at Dippers.
