Nearby places to visit

The nearest town to Dippers is Bridport, which has a Saturday morning flea market and is full of historic buildings and independent businesses.

To the west, the coastal towns of Charmouth and Lyme Regis are renowned for their historical, literary and fossil interests. To the east are Abbotsbury and its Swannery and sub-tropical gardens. The magnificent Chesil Beach connects Abbotsbury to Weymouth and Portland, the site of the 2012 Olympic Sailing events. To the north of Weymouth is Dorchester, the county town of Dorset, (Thomas Hardy’s birthplace).

All of these places are within a 30 minute drive from the Dippers guesthouse!
